WELCOME TO INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL SUVA - PRIMARY
"World class citizens - lifelong learners"
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the International School Suva - Primary website. International School Suva is facing exciting challenges as we seek to provide the best education possible for this generation of students. We feel very passionately that a progressive, high quality international education is probably the most valuable gift that parents can provide their children. This website will provide you with information and guidelines to help you and your child understand the functioning of the school, provide up to date information and news stories and a sneak peak into each and every one of our classrooms and specialist areas.
Educating the future leaders of our world requires teamwork. We know as educators, if we are to get the best out of our children, we can only do it in partnership with your. We would encourage you to do everything you can to take a keen interest in your child's learning and communicate openly; trusting that what we are doing is done with positive intent. Ultimately the school and parents are a team and together we can do wonderful things.
The website will be of interest to current students and their families, parents of prospective students, members of School Council, School Staff, various educational interest groups and interested members of the wider community.
Further information is available on request. Simply send an email and we will be pleased to satisfy all enquiries. If you wish to know more about our great school, comprehensive documents are available online on this website!
I look forward to our partnership and hope that your association with our school is a long and happy one.

PRIMARY ADMINISTRATION STAFF
Entry Requirements include the completion of a school enrolment form accompanied by an original birth certificate or passport. (a copy will be made and documents returned to you immediately) For new arrivals from overseas, written evidence of a permit to reside is required/visa exemption. This is available from the Fiji Immigration Department. Children from within Fiji will need to provide a transfer letter from their previous school and report cards from previous schools are also recommended. Current medical records will be sighted. The ISS enrolment fee payment is required before enrolment can be confirmed.
Placement of students is guided by birth date and your child must have turned the given ages below by December 31 of that year.
Students will be enrolled according to their birth date. Assessments may be carried out at the discretion of the Head of Primary to establish correct placement if the child's birthday is before end March.
There is an expectation that not all students learn the same thing at the same time, or at the same rate. Research has shown that in childhood development there are definite stages which follow in sequence and each child must experience each stage in order to advance confidently to the next. Catering for individual differences/differentiation occurs in every classroom across the school.
